One piece, no decisions

Some mornings the win is not having to assemble an outfit. The Afterglow skater dress is one piece, it goes on in four seconds, and it looks considered without any effort on your part. That is most of the reason people who own one wear it constantly.

The Afterglow print takes its name from the light that arrives after the sun has already gone down, when the sky holds colour for another twenty minutes and nobody is in a hurry. Large soft edged shapes overlap across the fabric in burnt orange, slate navy, dusty lavender, sage green and warm cream. Nothing lines up on a grid. The forms lean into each other the way clouds and hills and water do at the end of a clear day, and a fine grain runs through every colour so the whole thing reads more like a pressed print than a digital file.

Cut and fit

Sleeveless through the shoulder, fitted through the bodice, then released into a flared skirt from the natural waist. The flare is what makes the print work. Where a straight cut would flatten the pattern, the movement in the skirt keeps the shapes shifting as you walk. It sits above the knee on most people and the stretch in the fabric means it follows you rather than restricting you.

Fabric

A soft stretch knit with elastane through it, so there is real give in every direction. It holds its shape after a full day of wear instead of going baggy at the waist. The print is applied across the fabric before the dress is cut, which is why the pattern flows over the seams without interruption and why no two dresses are ever cut identically.

  • Sleeveless bodice with a flared skater skirt from the natural waist
  • Soft stretch knit with elastane for movement in every direction
  • Holds its shape through a full day rather than stretching out
  • All-over print applied before cutting, so the pattern flows across seams
  • Sits above the knee on most heights
  • Print placement varies slightly on every piece, so no two are identical
  • No zips or fastenings to deal with
  • Made to order in small numbers
  • Machine washable cold, hang to dry

How to wear it

On its own with flat sandals is the whole outfit in summer. With a denim jacket and boots it carries into autumn without looking like a summer dress being stretched past its season. Because the print does the work, it needs almost nothing else. One simple piece of jewellery is usually more than enough.

Care

Machine wash cold with similar colours and hang to dry. Skip the tumble dryer, which is what dulls printed stretch fabric fastest. No bleach, no fabric softener. Cool iron on the reverse if needed, though the knit rarely creases enough to bother.

Sizing

True to size. The stretch in the fabric gives the bodice a reasonable amount of range, so if you are between sizes the smaller one usually still fits and holds its shape better. Size up if you prefer the bodice looser through the ribcage or want the hem to fall lower on the leg. Height affects hem length more than size does, so if you are tall expect it to sit a little higher above the knee than the photographs suggest.

Where the flare matters

A flared skirt is not only a style decision on a printed dress, it is what stops the pattern from reading as flat. On a straight cut, an abstract print sits still and can look like wallpaper. On this one the shapes move and fold as you walk, so different colours come forward depending on where you are standing and how the light is falling. It is the reason this particular print was put on this particular silhouette rather than a column dress.

Questions people ask

Does it need a slip? No. The knit is opaque and mid-weight, and the lining of the skirt flare is the same fabric throughout. Is it comfortable to sit in all day? Yes, and this is the practical argument for the elastane. There is no waistband seam digging in and no zip to sit against your spine. Does the print run the same on every dress? No. Each one is cut from a continuously printed length, so the exact placement of the shapes differs from dress to dress. Two people wearing the same size will not have identical dresses.

Who it is for

Anyone who would rather make one decision in the morning than five. It works for travel because it packs to almost nothing, does not crease and covers a wide range of situations from a beach afternoon to dinner. If most of your wardrobe is plain and you want a single piece that carries colour without any styling effort, this does that job.

Why it is made this way

Made to order, in small numbers, when someone actually wants one. Nothing is produced speculatively and held in a warehouse hoping it sells, which is how most clothing ends up marked down or thrown away. Ten percent of profit goes to the organisations we support.

Sustainable Apparel FAQ

What makes No 925 apparel different from typical clothing brands?

No 925 apparel is built around a simple idea: clothing should represent how you choose to live, not just what you wear. Our designs focus on intention, independence, and rejecting autopilot living. Every piece is created to be wearable daily while carrying a message that resonates with people building a life they don’t need to escape from.

How long does shipping take?

Orders go through a production window of 2-5 business days before they ship. After that, delivery time depends on your location and the method you choose at checkout. You will receive tracking once your order is on its way. If you have a timing concern, contact info@no925.co before placing your order.

How do I choose the right size for No 925 apparel?

Every No 925 product page includes a detailed size guide to help you find the best fit. Because our catalog includes multiple apparel styles such as shirts, hoodies, and accessories, sizing can vary slightly between items. We always recommend reviewing the size chart provided on the product page and comparing it to a garment you already own that fits well.

What is Project 925 and how does it work?

Project 925 is the philanthropic arm of No 925. Each month, a portion of profits is directed toward a vetted nonprofit organization aligned with the brand’s values. Causes often include mental health support, environmental protection, and veteran assistance, helping turn everyday purchases into real-world impact.

Why does No 925 use made-to-order production instead of mass manufacturing?

Made-to-order production allows us to reduce unnecessary waste while maintaining flexibility in our designs. Rather than producing thousands of garments that may never be worn, we manufacture items as they are purchased. This approach supports sustainability while allowing No 925 to focus on thoughtful design rather than fast fashion.

What is Project 925?

Project 925 is No. 925's giving initiative. Ten percent of monthly profits go to a vetted local or regional nonprofit, rotated monthly. We choose organizations where the contribution will actually be felt, not absorbed into administrative overhead. When you buy from No. 925, a portion of that purchase moves something real in the world.

Does No 925 clothing support any charitable initiatives?

Yes. Through Project 925, a portion of profits supports organizations doing meaningful work in areas like mental health, environmental conservation, and veteran support. Each month a new cause may be featured, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to living with intention and helping others rise.

What type of people typically wear No 925 apparel?

No 925 apparel resonates with people who value independence, creativity, and intentional living. Many customers are entrepreneurs, builders, creators, and individuals pursuing a lifestyle outside traditional expectations. The brand attracts those who believe life should be designed deliberately rather than lived by default.

Can No 925 clothing be worn casually or styled for streetwear?

Yes. No 925 apparel is designed to fit naturally into both casual and modern streetwear styles. Many of the designs combine minimal aesthetics with bold messaging, making them easy to pair with everyday outfits while still making a statement.
